Maybe Riot changed Varus's lore because of an upcoming event/champion?

No matter how many Posts you create, upvotes and views you get nothing will change. Riot won't waste all their efforts just to revert a full-time paid employees' work.

This community needs to start learning how to adapt. You call yourselves flexible and open minded to change? Well look at you atm, being mentally and emotionally dragged out of your comfort zones just turned the entire boards nuts about old varus's lore. I've never seen anyone talk about him or his lore before, and now y'all acting like white Knights telling stories about how (you've been in love with the champ and his lore from S1).

I bet you 10/10 something soon enough will happen whether it's a new champ or event related to this change and it will blow everyone's minds and I'm sure a lot of people will claim (they had faith ) in Riot and knew something great will come out of this.

It's not about getting them to change what they've done, all the reasonable people involved with this know that isn't going to happen. No, it's about letting Riot know that they had options that were better for everybody involved, and they chose to ignore them for no good reason at all. It's about driving the message home, so that hopefully they learn from the mistake (like they're always so fond of saying they'll do).

Old Varus can't be saved, but raising a fuss will make them think twice before they make needless changes to another champion. Today it's Varus, and he's far from the first, but which champion will it be a month from now? Next thing you know Darius and Draven aren't brothers, they're mortal enemies, and J4 and Swain are secret besties planning to rule the world together. No sense beating around the bush, nothing gets fixed like that.

I mean yeah, no one ever gave a shit about Varus lore before and now everyone talking about as if it was the greatest masterpiece Riot ever created

I don't care about the Varus issue, but if people just bend over and quietly take it up the butt while shedding a tear, it's worse than fighting back.

And as people have said before, no one's constantly talking about anyone's lore, but if they change the metaphorical face of a character that you've already known for years, it will bother you.

I don't go around talking about Riven's story non-stop, but if they suddenly made Riven an Ionian I'd be pissed about it because what other (myself included) have already created in the past would now be wasted.
