Riot Promotes Teamwork, But Everyone Overlooks The Glaring Flaw...
There are no players below Challenger that play in professional games.
There's a simple fact for that,_ skill is more important than teamwork_ in League of Legends.
All the teamwork in the world doesn't beat the team across from you, if their players are better than you.
If teamwork was really the big deal that it's made out to be, there would players anywhere from Gold and higher playing in professional League of Legends games, because at that tier is roughly where players have mastered the mechanics of at least several champions.
You don't believe me? Just re-watch this years world championship, SSG didn't have better teamwork. Take a good hard look at just how damn impressive SKT's teamwork was, they actually did a VERY good job.
SKT lacked one thing: The ability to outplay the enemy team individually.
The Riot casters themselves said it several times over, how much better SSG's players were than SKT. The statistics from any website show it, the mistakes made by SKT's players showed it.
Not to say teamwork is entirely worthless, good coordination does indeed help things go more smoothly. Without the ability to execute however, it doesn't matter how well coordinated a team is, the enemy will still get the best of them.
Hopefully someday Riot will finally recognize the importance of INDIVIDUAL PLAY and stop shoving teamwork in everyone's faces.
Teamwork is nice, but it doesn't mean a whole lot without the individual talent of players within the team.
Need more proof?
Just Google videos of Challenger players 1v5'ing lower tiers. There are pre-made players in a lot of those WITH voice communication.. Yet they can't even win against a single player.
