Mastery spamming IS griefing

I don't understand why Riot added the mastery emote. It's one and only purpose is to rub it in the face of someone you just killed. The game is already frustrating enough, when you die you don't need to see the enemy cheerleading over your corpse. It's completely meant in a negative way because anyone with respect or honor wouldn't do such a thing. So Riot why would you add a feature like this to the game that already seethes toxicity?

If you insist on having them in game why don't you make it so only your teammates can see it, like the mastery flag flair stuff on the loading screen. Your teammates can see it, but you can't see the enemy mastery banner.

At the very least, give players the option to turn mastery emotes off.

If you make a good play and flash mastery emote, that's cool. You deserve to gloat.

If you make a horrible play and flash mastery emote, that's funny.

If you flash mastery emote every couple seconds just because you can, you're an asshole.

People who get upset about mastery are more annoying than people who spam mastery.

This shit again There is, and i'm not going to tell you how because a quick google search would tell you if you actually took the time out of your day to do so

Well if it bothers you just start every game with "mute enemy". That blocks masteries and champion taunts/jokes/laughs.

I always do that cause even though it doesn't particularly bother me the whole thing is pretty obnoxious.

I advise you keep a box of tissues readily available for any future emote spamming incidents.

I think it's pretty funny when I hit flash, miss my ability, die and flash my mastery emote. Keep it.

It's definitely not worse than teemo spamming laugh in lane, OP. Just git gud and take yourself less seriously

Lel Mastery isn't Greifing Its BM'ing

Because i should feel entitled to spam my Teemo M7 every time i kill someone with the last tick of my E or R

It would be nice if players didn't use emotes as passive aggressive communication, but I don't think Riot will ever do anything other than enable the option to prevent all emotes from showing up.

See, when people do this to me all I see is "I killed you because I have practiced this champion a lot and have had many good games with them"

Which makes sense, I guess? It usually just makes me laugh with the absurdity that it's considered insulting.

I only ever throw my mastery up if someone outplayed or killed me.

Wow you snowflakes are soft like charmin. Back in my day we didn't get participation trophies. When you won you won and when you lost you lost. If a badge flashing hurts your feelings go play insert game

The emote is one thing I think is fine. It's harmless

Especially those that mastery when they miss a skillshot.

Yeah, "/all get rekt noob go back to france and eat a baguette" is much more effective seriously.

I mostly only see it on Yasuos or people that say "gg easy", and those people are the ones that lose all their ranked games and go full try hard in normals.

My favorite is when a Yasuo will dash in, get an auto off and dash out/throw up windwall and emote. I guess that means I can snapstun someone as Syndra and then W Q Ult in 3 seconds and emote?

For real though, it's a tool strictly for BM.

So if I outplay 2 people or outplay someone and I throw up my master, it's not honorable? Lol. I feel like I deserve to throw up my mastery after certain moments.
