Well I guess I am sorry for playing...I didnt mean to get in the smurfs' way... I go 0-14 against a smurf gangplank and im pretty sure he was level 30 and one of my teammates is like "ugh I wasnt that bad when I was new, reported!"
I have taken a 6 month break just because of this, and its the same now as it was then
they can report you, but it probably won't do much if the game is looked at and its obvious that your opponent was a smurf and you were genuinely new to the game
my best advice is to mute those who try to talk down upon you and forge onwards ;P
this game has always been like this ever since like season 3. Smurf situation will never get fixed, ever. Just go find a better game, riot doesn't care about new players.
Just use "/mute all" at the beginning of the game. You'll find it a lot more enjoyable that way. There's nothing wrong with being new, but for some reason a lot of players think it's somehow reportable to be bad at the game (it's not).
