Comical thing is that Nexus blitz actually made me want to play the game again.
IF they were pulling Treeline and putting in Nexus blitz as a replacement shorter game mode that is not 10 to 15 of minutes someone having a clear advantage in top lane just based on picks SR might be more interesting but it that is the state of top lane.
Nexus blitz literally didn't force you to stick around for a bad matchup for 10+ minutes to defend a turret to avoid first turret gold going to the enemy team. You could leave your bad matchup in lane to go for something more worthwhile in the other lane or jungle.
If a game was going to hell it would be over fairly quickly and I saw major comebacks fairly frequently with the moving Nexus.
If SR wasn't often times over at pick phase it might be a better game mode but that is what it has often times become, I use to often be able to salvage a bad matchup when TP was in it's prime through map awareness and taking advantages that were open but that is no longer the case and hasn't been since the longer channel time happen on TP. No amount of fixing match making will resolve that and the game just stopped being enjoyable once things became too focused on Esports.
If Nexus blitz was back I would be more inclined to play but having to play out a 25 to 40 minute game that was highly decided at pick phase and over at 10 to 15 is not a worth while use of my time.
In that riot was right in thinking shorter games are a good idea but they were wrong in trying to apply it to SR.
