1585 RP Chroma Cost (Trist Ruby)

So when I found out this patch's skins were out I was ecstatic to log on and buy that beautiful Ruby Dragon Trainer Tristana skin I saw in the patch notes and on the PBE, only to be unable to find it. After a bit of looking I see it in the DTT Chroma bundle, but not on its own. Each of the other 5 chromas are 290 RP each, but the bundle is 3035 RP, meaning this one chroma costs 1585 RP and can only be obtained by buying the entire bundle. Am I missing something or is this as BS as it appears?

it's as BS as it can get. all ruby chromas are locked behind the other colors in a bundle. they did that with PP Gangplank and PP Cait.

That's how Riot has been handling all the 'ruby' chromas lately... If you go through the chromas tab, pretty much every skin that has been given chromas lately has the red varient locked behind a bundle, and even if the other chromas are available for purchase after, the Ruby chroma is marked off as legacy and unavailable for purchase after the initial release.
I'm not sure why specifically the red one is the one they chose to make exclusive.

The earliest I remember this happening was back with the Lunar Revel skins for this year, where Ruby Lunar Guardian Warwick, Ruby Lunar Guardian Nasus, and Lunar Empress Lux were all exclusive to the chroma bundles.

It's honestly really bs. This along with the new trend of every single skin getting an 'exclusive launch border' that tacks several hundred RP onto the cost of the skin just seem really scummy. Borders were cool when the were for special skins/events and meant something.

This is so insanely scummy. I would pay for that ruby chroma, its awesome. I will not however pay 1200 RP for it. They loose my money on this, just have all the chromas available individually. Its a chroma, its up to every person which one they want, its not like one is objectively better than another. I just happen to like the ruby one the most. Someone else will like the sapphire one the most, they can get their chroma for 290RP I have to pay 1215 RP for the one I happen to like the most.

If you guy the chromas at the BE Emporium for 2K BE each, you can essentially buy all of the chromas in the pack so that when you buy the "bundle" it just contains the ruby one for 290 RP.
