How do you play twisted fate?

So im new to twisted fate and god his wave clear is so poor. I don't undeestand how people play with him. I was struggling to keep up with a yasuo mid lane and almost always if my bot or top lanes are feeding I lose. I was a singed otp before this and as Singed all I had to do was bully top and put so much pressure top that jg wont focus other lanes and I had a 80% winrate on him in blind and draft. How do I get that good on tf, his auto range is really low compared to all other mid champs
