Like, I don't think anyone had any problems with IP. It wasn't bad or unreasonable in any way, and the system was working fine.
So is there a reason it was changed? Like an actual legitimate reason? Because I'm honestly failing to see it. There's no positives to this new system but there sure are a ton of negatives.
Nope.
They made it less satisfying, less rewarding, and overall more grindy.
It has a HOTS feel to it tbh

The IP system had its issues and needed to be changed, but the BE system doesn't really fix any of those issues, it just paints them blue.
Well yes it does fix issues, but it creates more too.
Generally games, especially mmos and other online games, have currency bloat. Honestly getting rid of one of the 4 currencies LoL used was a good move.
Everything else they did, was not. They should have done a 1:1 switch where they basically just change the name and adjust some numbers to account for more things being purchasable with it. There was no need to fuck with how players earn stuff.
