Sylas=Flynn
It has been 9 years since the release of "Tangled", and the story ended happily with Rapunzel marrying Flynn (aka Sylas), her savior. But not all Disney movies have happy endings. With the upcoming release of "Sylas the unshackled", it is now clear that Riot made a deal with Disney exactly 9 years, 2 months, and 15 days ago to buy its characters all to further the dark story that is "Tangled". We may not know much about Flynn in this present time, but allow me to explain. Years after Rapunzel's and Flynn's (Sylas) marriage, the fortune of being Prince soon got to Flynn. And money that comes with being loyalty of the Kingdom drowned Flynn into carelessness as his true self came out, that of which is a thief. Flynn soon became a drunk, buying all the alcohol he can all while being care free. His drunk habit soon became overwhelming as he would soon strike Rapunzel, the news was shocking and it spread all over the Kingdom. Once the King and Queen found out (Rapunzel's parents) they realized they made a mistake, and later locked Flynn in a magical tower bound by chains. That of which is a obvious resemblance between Sylas and Flynn's story, but their looks are also remarkably identical, just follow the links given and you shall see.
His magical power will soon come in the near future, as we forgot a key character in the story of "Tangled". This can be no other but Mother Gothel, Rapunzel's kidnapper. And yes in the movie it would seem that she died, but that is not the case. A similar scenario can be seen within the show Naruto Shippūden™, Spoilers ahead. Within this show a character by the name of Orochimaru cursed a child named Sasuke, who has a body that Orochimaru would want to posses in the future. This curse gave Sasuke significantly more power that is uncontrollable when fully released. But when Sasuke returned to Orochimaru for more power he instead killed him with a swift decapitation. Later in the series we would soon find out he is still alive, which seemed impossible to many viewers. But fact that both Orochimaru and Mother Gothel had the same goal of staying young makes the comparison even more significant.
Now it is clear that Mother Gothel cast a spell on herself that will revive her for some time, and with the limited time she has she will get revenge. She heard of the young Flynn Rider's story and took it as a opportunity. Since she was a witch, a plan came straight to her mind involving magic and spells. Mother Gothel climbed to the top of the tower that Flynn was imprisoned in and cursed him with a mark that will give him evil power based on his personality. And considering he was a thief, this mark gave him the ability to steal power from his opponents and release it with immense energy. Mother Gothel will soon get her revenge as she has created "Sylas the unshackled".
