Lethality for AD and AP?

Instead of magic pen lethality was for all classes? -Instead of sorc. shoes, why not assassin's shoes and instead of 10 magic pen it gave 15 lethality? -Haunting gui. could be the ap version of dirk and instead of ruby + amp tome, 2 amp tomes and 10 lethality but no hp -Liandry with 15 lethality, but less hp. -Zhonias could be the Edge of night version for mages (something like seekers + haunting) and 15 lethality. -The magic pen glyphs could be replaced with 10 lethality totall.

  • And finally Duskblade to be a hybrid item that builds out of dirk and haunting and gives 40 ap and 40 ad + 20 lethality. It sounds cool and easier to balance + it would be easier for new players to understand the difference between flat and % penetration. (Clarity is always a plus) Thoughts?

This would be a insane amount of balancing and by having all pen items combine into one stat, this would effectively create even more lethality stacking bs that would result in the return of scummy lethality builds in not only just ADCs, but likely AP champions so we'd then have everyone playing retarded snowball builds like 'Assassin Bard' since he'd just devour that combined lethality stat with his empowered auto attacks getting both his Magic Damage empowers and his regular attack autos.

Plenty of other examples exist but a moba at least keeps a degree of balance by not wrecklessly merging very important stats, the main reason they even converted lethality from flat armor pen into its current state was to reduce the utter snowball bsery that kept persisting especially when we ended up with: Lucian with the OLD item 3142 when it still had its attack speed bonus on its active which was just plain retardedly scummy alongside that Penetration, sizable attack damage and CDR to where that item being rushed became a scummy snowballer item.

The only way combining said stats would work is if many things were restricted and i'm very sure LoL is not going to turn into HoTS any time soon. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Lethality isn't the answer
