Age group Queues

Still in the frustrating climb process I find myself playing with people that lack just that little common sense that most of us kind of have. That is when the idea came to me, "I must be playing with really young, naive people". So why not asks ppl's age and have them Queue up with their respective age groups. I think it will solve so many problems like toxicity and plays through out a match.

Would this help? Thoughts?

This wont really solve anything as honestly it doesn't matter what age you are everyone can tilt, make obvious mistakes and rage, there's a lot of 20 year olds who still rage at this game like they are 12. You'll also be surprised how smart kids can be at times, a lot of them already act like adults. Ageism is never something I feel should be look upon for this game. This game is competitive and no matter what age, race or gender you are there will always be that competitive nature that can turn games toxic. Human error.

Adding to what FatTaco said, it also greatly messes with queue times as well.

Someone's skill in this game doesn't have much to do with age. It's easy to lie about your age as well it is literally what I do when ever I make an account on games that have age requirements like a lot of MMOs do. I have seen adults get tilted harder than a lot of kids that play. I'm 14 and don't get tilted often and I'm never toxic to people. As Fat Taco said kids can be extremely smart and skilled at times and are beginning to act more mature.

You'll run into the same problem as porn. "This site is restricted for anybody under 18. Are you sure your 18?" Even if they provide a date, a kid can just go "well I'll just put my birth date at somewhere in the 70s."

This is about as useless as it could get unfortunately, i understand your struggle, but this idea is just horrible.

It wouldn't solve a thing. I know people in their late 20's that blow at the game and have poor decision making. I know people in their mid teens that are pretty good and make great decisions. Age has very little to do with anything in games.

As for toxicity, I think I run into more raging adults than kids sometimes.

I know people 10 years younger than me that are as mature and as reasonable as I am (which isn't to say that I have either of those qualities in any great amount, just that they're on a roughly equal footing with me), and people 10 years older who'll start giggling uncontrollably over dick jokes, and a multitude of people my age who seem to be on a completely different level (both in good and bad ways). I'm much more inclined to judge people based on their actual competence rather than stereotypes surrounding their age.

Those with toxicity and foolish plays will inevitably trend downwards in ranks as is, and those who lack those flaws will trend up, so everyone gets sorted out eventually. It can be a rough road sometimes, but that's just because it's impossible to know where people 'belong' ahead of time.
