Just a poll on Duskblade and how it feels to play against it/ Feels like auto attacks are overloaded

My biggest problem with the item is that it's kind of suffocating and makes otherwise mechanically complicated champs power spike in crazy unhealthy ways. I just don't think it's generally fun to play against when you get 100-Zeroed from a single spell rotation. It just feels generally shitty and frustrating. I think the AP iteration of this concept is just so much better by design. Spell item 3907 item 3147 I think it's a fair complaint to say that outside of the ADC role which imo has arguably had some of the best treatment in it's item lineup that is outside of item 3046 that auto attacking is just overloaded as a mechanic. I really feel that we need to bring some love back to the spell-slinging side of things. In the most abusable cases I'd say Zed GravesMasterYi Yasuo Kindred Just as a few examples of what feel really shitty and like run it down mid types when they get going. Auto attack abusers are enabled by their items being inherently overpowered because of how stupid simple it is to synergize them. With spells it's more complicated there's definitely more of a multi step process invovled. Just for example earlier this year this item combination was trending and one of the reasons Wukong came to be crazy good item 3057 item 3134 item 3077 Having 4 different effects that all synergize with each other being loaded onto 1 ability is just absolutely bonkers. Might it be other iterations like stormrazor duskblade ghostblade and so on you get the point by now. It's just absolutely infuriating and becomes a tad boring to play against. As infuriating as a tank meta can be I think it's damn well time it be encouraged because at least teamfights go on a bit longer and we're encouraged to team play moreso than just abusing the fuckk out of whatever's flavor of the week one shotting everyone.

I would say the AP iteration of item 3147 is actually item 3128, which came first and was removed from SR for being too warping on the power of mages. item 3146 comes close to these too.

However, I will agree with you that the idea behind item 3907 is much better if the goal of each of these items is to make a single spell rotation deal a fuckload of damage, since it's imo the easiest to fuck up your use of.

To be honest, I wish there were items in general that offered more than just pure damage.

I actually really liked Duskblade iteration during patch V6.3...

item 3147 Duskblade of Draktharr

+75 attack damage. +5% movement speed

UNIQUE PASSIVE: +10 armor penetration

UNIQUE PASSIVE: Your next basic attack on an enemy champion applies NIGHTFALL (120 second cooldown).

UNIQUE PASSIVE – NIGHTFALL: After 2 seconds, deals 90 (+ 25% of target's missing health) physical damage. If the target is taken down before NIGHTFALL dealt damage, the full cooldown is refunded.
