Feedback on Lux Buffs
Alright, first of all, I'm just going to say that I'm bronze 4. I completely understand that if people don't listen to my opinion because of my rank. I just wanted to be upfront about it, but if it helps, I'm mastery 7 Lux. I absolutely adore this champion with all my heart. I play her all the time. So, I can't help but feel like I should be able to voice my opinion about this.
I understand that Lux's buffs are aimed toward more Lux being played in higher elo — making her more rewarding to play.
However, I have mixed feelings about the potential cooldown refund on Lux's ult on kill. On one hand, I feel like it's a step in the right direction. Sounds really amazing and rewarding at early levels. On the other hand, I'm not so sure, as at max rank with 40% CDR, her ult is approximately 30 seconds. So, it's pretty low as it is.
Now, what do I think can/should be changed?
- Speeding up the shield animation at higher ranks, kinda like how Riot did to Lucian's Q.
- Changing the passive completely. Most Lux players that I know don't use the passive outside of laning phase. Lich Bane Lux is a thing of the past. If you're close enough to auto an enemy champion, you are way too close to the fight. I currently can only think of a few passives to replace it.
- Perhaps make her passive sorta like Leona's, where she as well as her teammates can proc the passive for bonus magic damage. She's all about teamwork. See voice line, "We can do this!"
- Another idea for a passive change (or maybe even a passive on the ult) is maybe automatically giving her bonus magic damage on an enemy if the Lux hits her 3-part combo on them.
- I had an idea about giving her a passive where her spells permanently gain magic damage bit by bit for each spell she hit (each individual spell she hit would give them bonus damage on that particular spell), kinda like how her Elemental skin gives her "elemental power" each time you hit an enemy with an ability. It might fit in with the lore if we give her a passive that she can grow from. See her new voice line, "No more holding back!"
I'll add to this post as I think of things.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this. I appreciate it very much.
