Balance in Season 6.

Hey guys im SpearofAdun. Here I write an intro about myself. Well I started playing league of legends in Season 4 and really went hardcore into it. I was really bad when it all started, being placed into Bronze 5. Through extensive experience and improvements into every single aspect of the game I managed to be a consistent high silver placing on Silver 1 last season. I didnt finish my trek to gold due to no rewards as I got penalized for toxic. Hereby, I also encourage you to be positive and try not to say bad things or negative things, as there is no purpose and no reward from doing so. Anyways i managed to have most of my kdas for the champs i used at 2.8 or more. Last season i was at 3.5 or more. On preseason I was at 4.0 or 5.0 consistently. Which brings me to the topic of this discussion.

On season 6 Riot introduced a concept called "Dynamic Que" which sounded really good for people who dont know the game, but had many of the core players worried about balance issues. You see, before this season you could solo que or duo que for the normal side of the competitive ladder. The other option was ranked teams. But even on this simple system the game suffered from bad matchmaking, based on the mmr system Riot uses, because of the fact that people where going around the system to elo boost other players, or smurfing or other problems which were not entire addressed to create a system where literally the great mayority of players could have a more or less rewarding experience in the ladder under a 50% winrate chance on average if they werent a liability most of the games.

This in turn was fair for everyone but gave less reward to the people that tried hard, as part of the winrate had variable out of their control.. but even then, you could climb and get to the place under which skill cap you belonged, eventually. This was further enhanced with cookies introduced by Riot which enabled a greater control of the matchmaking balance and the shortening of the division gaps allowed in its matchmaking. And this system worked and was mostly fair to the two aspects of the game, the game as regarding the players individually, and as a community.

But it pains me to say that after a long gruesomely torturous frustrating week of playing ive found a really bad ladder experience on the new Dynamic que. The matchmaking is broken. Yes broken. The Dynamic que doesnt add additional que times if u play with friends, even if u go 2 or 3 or 5 ppl together into the ladder. This I conclude is because they are matched against randomly assigned players which are not always in a premade themselves. In half my games one team moves around the map, plays, and acts in ways that are almost never seen unless u are premade or in a high elo. Plats, golds, silvers and bronzes are all mashed up together and this is even made worse by the fact that a great deal of people get into gold or silver through elo boosting. How Riot, with its cookies, cant tell that a bronze player with a average 1:5 kda or a silver player with a 1:8 kda on most of its champs jumps to 4:0 or higher in a week consistenly is beyond my understanding. They have the user data, they are just not analysing. So on the chaos of the usual season starts, well the dymanic que problem brings this to levels that are beyond enjoyability even by the most hardcore fans, such as me.

This in turn has created a atmosphere of cruelty, desperation, anger, frustration and just tiltness palpable in many games. I have seen more afks, more trolls, more ppl tilting and the greatest feeders in all my years of ranking. And I see it as a result of the new Dynamic que system. Riot, you see, if you introduce a vastly game changing mode as this, balancing must be heavily invested in, because if the simpler, much easier to run system of the previous seasons had flaws and getarounds for people with no ethic on competitive play; it will just exacerbate and get extremely worse for players to the point, where we will need to either play with 2 or 3 more ppl using curse of skype, or just drop the ladder altogether.

Complexity requieres great planification, balancing and quality control for a rewarding experience which is what brings LoL customers back and back again into this game. The numbers dont add. The game is now 80% of the time out of your control and into the realms of LUCK. As of today ive only been able to get to silver 5 and I am stuck on 0 points, losing more than 70% of my games most of the time. The numbers dont add. The numbers should add.

So please, fix this, but to be honest it would requiere too much investment, time, and suffering on our part, let the solo queue be what it was. Dynamic Que is the other name for something that worked and which has worked. Ranked teams. Dont torture your core players, and dont make our days sad, with this below performance, broken, uneffective matchmaking system. This thing is worse than a Warner Bros pc port.

Please leave any opinions, or comments on this subject. Thank you.
