Aatrox forgotten?

I used to play Aatrox, and as I climb higher I'm starting to realize how weak he actually is. His scaling and skills are so dysfunctional to a point where he is practically weak-average throughout the entire game. His ideal means of damage is his auto-attacks which ramp as he takes more damage, however this play style is not complemented very well by his kit. His Q has a fairly low range and large windup, and the indicator on the ground makes it easy to people to dodge, and even counter attack. This W isn't exactly game breaking as people make it out to be, considering the heal from it can now be significantly lowered with grievous wound inflicting items. The passive heal/lifesteal from Mundo, Garen, Nasus, Olaf, easily out scale the heal of Aatrox. The damage side of the W has a hefty health cost so using it early is risky. His E is also a skill that just seems so out of place. Its damage and cc is nothing to be amazed about, but the skill in general doesn't make sense with his play style. His ult is is good considering it complements his auto attack damage output, but it would be better if it just had flat damage scaling for the initial burst, and then gave him some sort of attack damage boost based on existing ad or even %health missing of enemy champion.

Just my ideas:

I think if Aatrox's W worked in such a manner that it would use his blood well as his resource bar. While using the passive to heal it would allow him to drain the blood of his enemies to heal him and increase his blood well, but upon toggle it would drain his blood well to deal increased damage.

Also his E could be a type of hard CC. His sword acts much like a whip if you notice his in-game animation when he Crits. So something like a grab:

"Aatrox extends his sword forward piercing enemies and brings them closer." Imagine a Darius grab in a sense.

or something that would be a minor stun

"Aatrox slashes with intense force knocking back enemies a short distances and stunning them briefly."

His entire combo would be much more fluid.

Aatrox would wait till his blood well is full:

Use his e for hard cc-> activate his W for brief attack boost -> Q as they would try to escape -> ultimate -> repeat.
