Amount of points rewarded in a ranked game with unequal teams.
Hello, my name is TubbyMcChubby. To start off, this is not me ventilating after a ranked game, but simply me expressing my ideas on how unfair (but fix-able) things are currently in ranked solo-queue.
So, we all know how frustrating it is to play in a 4v5 situation, and knowing the the odds of winning are very low. This goes both ways, as we also all know how bad you feel for the enemy team when it's a 5v4. The truth of it is, everyone has had a disconnection problem during their time playing League of Legends, and in a solo-queue ranked games, people take it a little more seriously either because they'le lose point, or a promotion. And so, because you have a very small chance or winning, the points (or LP) you lose in a ranked 4v5 game should decrease, and the points the enemy team receives should also decrease, because it's practically a game that's already been won. Now, if you should win, which has happened to me before, then points should not be affected. This would prevent people from disconnecting so that their friends in duo-queue could reach the amount of points needed for a promotion, and this would prevent people from the opponent team to quit in the last five minutes, making your team lose points which you deserved.
Points should not only be based on one factor (that is, whether the game is a 4v5/5v4 or not), but the number of people disconnected on both teams, and the amount of time each player(s) has been disconnected for. Now, what if you're the one who disconnects? Then you receive the usual amount of points lost, not the amount that your team members lost.Points should also not be lost if one player from each team disconnects at the same time, but lost if they were disconnected for a time difference of 10 minutes (random example).
That's all I really have to say, and I don't expect this to be implemented in League, but I thought I might share a couple of thoughts that's been on my mind lately. (Also because I've had to deal with a couple of these situations myself). Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I would appreciate any feedback, either good or bad. Thanks!
