How about an actual fix for support items.

Maybe tie it to a new summoner spell and treat support items like smite items. And force the summoner spell to target an ally champion so it’s useless on laners by themselves.

Give the summoner spell something like “target ally takes x% less damage from all sources for x seconds”

It “target ally gains x% attack speed for x seconds”

I’m not giving values due to already being biased as a player.

The key is requiring the spell to be used on an ally.

This fixes the problem unless the people abusing these items give up a large chunk of their lane power.

Or just role lock items, but tbh it wouldn’t work if you ever traded roles.
