[MASTERY] Savagery Interactions

Anyone know the details on Savagery? It specifies spells not spell effects but it could just be wording. For example, Malzahar's E is a single target spell, would each tick deal an additional 5 damage? Would it just be on the first tick? What about DoTs applied via AoE effects. DoTs are treated as a separate class by some effects and single target on others.

AFAIK S5 Savagery (or whatever it was called) specified that AoEs and DoTs do not apply any bonus damage. It might be the same case for the current one.

It's not in the text which is a bit frustrating. I'm a Brand Jungle main and honestly the efficiency boost from taking it would be very impactful for first clear. Hard to test other than timing it though and he's already very fast.
