If I have to face a premade in ranked, can you at least put a premade on my team?

I just finished a game (a loss, big surprise) where my team was all solo and the enemy team had a 3 man premade against my all solo team, I could tell because of their club tags and my team admitted they were all solo (also 3 people on my team had 3 different club tags so it was kinda obvious). How is this fair and how is this supposed to be a good competitive experience for a solo player? If you're gonna put in a premade, you should at least match the other team with a premade? Am I crazy here or what?
