Odd DC?

I was just in a ranked game as vayne but randomly got dc'd, I figured I'd alt + f4 to reconnect since it wasn't letting me back in throug hwaiting but upon me doing so I was brought back to the regular client. I'm confused. Was I just in a ghost game or something, why can't I reconnect to my vayne one?
