Do remakes affect MMR?

I got DC and they remade the game. I never got to even leave the fountain. I obviously lost LP but does that affect MMR too? It kind of doesn't make sense to affect MMR from a remake since it should be just like dodging and it's out of your control too. No one starts a game hoping to AFK till they lose X LP.
