Im not quite sure Im doing assassin jungle correctly with Khazix

So, I picked up khazix a 20 matches and the results are promising with 68% winrate, 5.5 / 2.8 / 6.5 KDA. The problem is, I actually am not quite sure if I am doing it correctly. Im opportunist as hell when using this champion. I lose when I lose without making a decent fight. Snowball and maintain an iron grip when I win.

I mostly scout around the jungle early using red/green smite pinkwards looking for a opportunity, And I quickly swipe it when it comes and focus breaking the tower with my laner. Otherwise I mostly focus on farm and surveillance on the enemy jungler. Is this the correct playstyle? Do I HAVE to invade constantly, or ganking early?
