I have played a different type of MOBA - "Smite" since the closed beta. I am sure you know it. There is a thing much better than Pinging. It has an announcer, which is better. So If you click V and then some others keys, an announcer will say you something. For example - VAA is "Attack"; VA1 - "Attack left lane", VDD - "Defend", VF1 - "Enemies missing left" VI3 - "Enemies incoming right". It has some other stuff like "Need Healing"; "Be right back"; "Out of mana". With this announcer the whole team can hear it and it is much better when you are chat restricted. Your currently pinging makes a sound but sometimes you are focused in the "Farming" and you don't notice it. With this announcer you click those key buttons and your whole team can hear that "Enemies are missing in a lane" Isn't it better? I am doing my best to help you Riot. that's too much for me, i won't remember and then, i play lol without sound

I play smite and that is wayyyy too much to remember, I don't bother with it. Pinging is vastly superior, hence why I only use smite's HORRIBLE ping system to communicate. Doesn't work very well.
