Olaf remake??

Ok, so I know a lot of people might disagree but as a guy who plays Olaf a lot I've noticed several things especially in this new patch/season. As a S3 player(I'm a fresh lvl 30 mind you.) Olaf is deff falling off of my preference for picks in top lane and Jung. Here's why.

  • Every one says to go predator on him, which I passionately have to disagree, even though he gets a speed boost its not really that effective for trades in the laning phase. So I go Electricute for that sol purpose. *Olaf's Q Costs waaaaayyyyy too much mana. I feel like this is a strangling handicap against him.
  • His W is supposed to be his sustain but I feel like it doesnt heal like it should vs other people with similar abilities.
  • I love his e so no complaints there.
  • I feel like his ult needs some work. Like for instance, It grants you a speed boost toward enemies(which is the whole point) but I feel like a small boost to speed when you use it to run away should be added. Also his typical build almost doesn't apply to him anymore. For instance, Spirit Visage is always a must on him but I tend not to buy it anymore due to the fact that his w(which procs spirit's passive) needs work so instead of going tanky I always find it to be better to build more on the damage side.

To me (Silver5 last season), I love his kit. I take comet and manaflowband to offset his q mana cost, and triumph and coup de grace so I can thrive in fights, like the berserker archetype he's supposed to be.

His W doesn't heal "as much" as it should, since the second effect being increased healing from all sources while active is pretty big.

His E fits the berserker archetype, and you said you're fine with how it is.

His ult giving you movespeed while moving away from enemies wouldn't make too much sense (Berserker archetype), and that's why you take ghost anyways. Also you trade armor and magic resist for damage when it activates, so it's risky trying to run away if they can chase.

My most common build consists of 2 damage items into tank, normally with aitem 3083 as this makes him absolute cancer a challenge to fight, and gives him fairly clear counterplay (Poke him to oblivion, all in with a champion that doesn't get destroyed because their cc doesn't work), as he doesn't need all too much damage.
