Without getting too much into nitty-gritty number details or base stat changes (he deserves more health and armor, though), here goes:

Innate - Iron Man: Mordekaiser spawns with a massive shield, which replenishes while in the fountain. Every time he strikes at least one enemy champion or large monster with a basic attack or ability, he gains a stack of Painkiller. At 5 stacks, Iron Man's shield instantly returns to full strength, consuming Painkiller.

Q - Mace of Spades: Mordekaiser marches forward in the target direction, swinging his mace three times as he does so and dealing massive magic damage to enemies in his wake with each blow.

W - Domination: Mordekaiser summons three shards of his armor around himself, the target allied champion, or his pet, shielding the target for a portion of Iron Man's shield if he targeted someone other than himself. For the next few seconds, each of the target's basic attacks consumes a shard, which deals bonus magic damage to their victim and every enemy in a cone away from them.

E - Siphon of Destruction: Mordekaiser commands the ground to erupt in three consecutive waves away from him, with each wave dealing magic damage to every enemy hit. The affected ground remains desecrated for a few seconds longer, granting Mordekaiser immunity to crowd control while he stands on it.

R - Children of the Grave: Passively, while the ability is available, Mordekaiser curses every enemy champion, Drake or Rift Herald that he strikes with a basic attack or ability, causing their soul to remain trapped on the battlefield for a few seconds after they die. When activated, Mordekaiser enslaves the soul of his choosing and raises them as a ghost to fight by his side for a limited duration.

  • The ghost fully benefits from the original unit's stats, abilities and items.
  • The ghost deals magic damage with their basic attacks, and deals bonus damage based on their own AP and bonus health.
  • If the ghost is melee, its movement speed is increased.

The general idea here is to try to fix some of his gameplay issues (e.g. his current shield, which is too volatile due to it working off of damage output and minions, his laning phase, which can be unpleasant to play against, his cheesy Q double auto + flash oneshot combo, etc.) and give him the power and agency he deserves (his W should let him contribute from a distance, his E would him advance unimpeded towards the enemy, even if he'd remain slow, his new R should give him more freedom of choice), all while staying true to Mordekaiser's theme and gameplay, which is why I did my best to make his W mostly self-serving, and to not give him crowd control or "real" mobility (whether he should still be prevented from having those is another matter, though). What do you think?
