Why Ornn seems busted as heck.

Okay, first of all, this is just my opinion and you can feel free to leave your opinions in the comments.

First off, from what we see in the trailer, he seems broken in general and even at this point, I still can't think of much counter play against him. He has an ability that can increase the duration of stuns, meaning that tenacity is essentially useless at this point. Not just that, but also an ult that can change directions, like really? This is so useful in team fights, for two reasons. The first is that it's an easy way to dish out damage and even cc the entire enemy team. The next is that, even if you are able to dodge it just changes directions and comes at you again, meaning that you'll probably have to pop flash, and at that point the entire team is basically separated. But, that's not even the most broken part about him. He can also break through user generated terrain with his dash, meaning that Anivia wall, Taliyah wall, etc. will essentially be useless against him. But, I don't think that's where he shines. His passive is the most interesting thing to me, and probably the strongest. For one, he can "craft" items for his teammates, and gives them buffs (which we don't know of yet). That might not stand out to some people but, giving your whole team a buff, is actually really useful, as you can easily out scale the enemy team (which if you didn't know, is really helpful).

TLDR; Ornn is busted

His passive for late game will be sweet for solo q since games tend to go pretty long imo compared to competitive, but you can still snowball the game before 37 minutes where an extra 1000 gold cap on inventory really matters. Unless that rushing the big ticket item upgrade (e.g. rabadon deathcap+) is so effective it's OP no matter what, than he will be 100% pick ban priority.

I wouldn't say that brittle completely eliminate tenacity builds. Tenacity would then take what would be a 4 second extended stun and reset it back to 3 seconds, which is still helpful. We also don't know the details on how tenacity works with brittle numbers, like if it reduces its duration to apply or lowers the extended cc duration.

It's not 'easily out scale the enemy team', it's 'outscale the enemy team at around 40 minutes once people are hitting 6 items, by which point various champ scaling may be the bigger factor'.

The only aspect of him that seems off-the-wall bonkers is the infinite sustain provided by never having to back.

yo not to nit pick the start of each paragraph, "Okay, first of all" then "First off,". plz edit to not have 2 "1sts" =P

but ok really, depending on how it works, and assuming the 1000g upgrade isnt super gold efficient, then it only comes into play when everyone is full beyond full build, they still have to use gold to buy stats basically, so no real advantage till your about to buy your elixer, assuming as i said its not super op in terms of gold efficiency. also pretty sure its confirmed just more stats so no "teamwide buffs" except for what i said above.

2nd of all, about the ult, do we know if it can go through walls? if it cant then its only hard to avoid in lane or around barons, still strong yes but you might be able to hide around a corner. also it only knocks up when he returns it, so you can just eat the dmg and prepare to dodge the cc, making it SUPER telegraphed. not saying its not an awesome ult still but i just think it might not be as op as you think.

as for tenacity being useless now? isnt it more important than ever with more cc duration, tenacity will shave off more time from a stun since its % based.

and last of all, user generated terrain is not useless, youve jsut made him waste an ability that would have been used against a player, on terrain, and its not like he insta breaks it he will take a second to react, then cast, so you still by some time. also, that wasted ability was his gap closer, so you are probably free to escape now. only one it counters is j4 ult since he will both break the wall and proc the knockup on the people inside. all other walls dont tend to put your team next to them to proc the knockup on them.

While he does look strong, he also looks like you will have to play him A LOT to get good with him. The skill cap on him should be pretty high.

Passive alone, if you get a lead against your enemy laner you are just going to continue to snowball WITHOUT having to base. He seems like a balancing nightmare

From what I can tell he seems to be either a top or a support, or possibly able to do both roles well. I'm thinking melee AD tank and probably high health stats and low movement, attack speed, etc.

All his upgrades cost 500-1,000 gold extra, and he still needs to go to base to heal and buy potions. So, treat him as every other tank - their early game's the toughest traditionally. After that, just 2/3 on 1 - ten bucks says the people playing him at first will have no clue how to really use him, blow their abilities, and get caught in traps time after time and end up useless for most of the game.

I'm very interested in seeing him when he finally does come on the live server, though. Always looking for new champs to master! This one, you could say, looks pretty Ornnery [slayer-jinx-wink]
