Aram Pain
As much as people don't care much about ARAM, its a great place to see the glaring differences in how the new mastery and rune system works in teamfights. Right now ARAM is pretty much decided on the champs you roll instead of how you play them. When your team snowballs early (level 4 or so), the game is pretty much over. If you dont' have tanks on your team, your game is pretty much over. The new system doesn't give much more damage to tanks, but their sustain is insane. The scaling of armor and magic resist will outrun your ability to get damage and mpen or lethality. Specifically, Alistair, Sion, and Garen are pretty much invincible by level 6. Early items (stopwatch//mini hexdrinker) don't mean much when you get steamrolled. The list goes on. The surprise of new champs that you have not played, are now pointless. One glaring fact about bad balancing is, every match, one team is stuck under tower while the other is farming. The mode is stalled.
I would like the old mastery//runes back until they can attempt to balance the new system better. Also, the new system is horrible in Ascension. Once you lose the first team fight, its over. Some games in as little as 3 min.
I can't wait to see what happens in URF. Zed will be insane.
