teammate criticism

I would love someone to explain this to me..... as someone who just came over from WoW was playing the game since vanilla until about s2 of legion. If your teammates suck you let them know "hey do better" and life went on or "hey take your head out of your A** lets win" and people seem to not care and try harder. Seems like in this game when your adc forgets how to auto attack and you let him know "hey press your ******* buttons you degenerate" they seem to curl up in a ball and go REPORT REPORT even though you hard carried them. Why is there no flame or criticism allowed? If I wanted to play a kids game with no profanity or excitement id still be playing my Gameboy color.

In mmo's like wow, you have a choice of teammates and if you don't like who you are playing with, you can choose not to group with them. As a result, the people you end up playing with are comfortable with your communications. If someone doesn't like the way you talk to them, you will likely never play with them again. All you need is to find a half dozen people you enjoy playing with and you never have to worry about random teammates.

In league, you don't have that option, so you can't make the assumption that everyone is ok with being called a degenerate or whatever words you choose to use. If you don't know, talk to people the way you would meeting a stranger for the first time.

I dont get easily offended, but I'm also not good and need to focus on what I'm doing. Making me have look at the chat just to find name calling and criticism...directed at me or not takes my attention away from playing and makes me play worse. More than a couple comments like that will get a report because its reducing my ability to play at me best.

Calling out mistakes is useless and tilting to me. Most of the time I know I screwed up. Having one or more people that feel the need to point it out is just throwing salt in the wound. Knowing how I need to adjust my play to fix the outcome or prevent it from happening might be useful IF AND ONLY IF it can be applied immediately, but I only occasionally get that......"farm better...." does nothing in game.

Generally I don't like it because there's usually a reason i'm not doing something. For example, whenever people "criticize" me for not ulting for long range picks on ashe when I need my ult to peel the kha'zix off of myself. Stuff like that is annoying, especially since it doesn't end at that. It translates into actual flame., then normally more people join on the bandwagon of flame and hate without even understanding the situation at all. Oh yeah, and if I try to explain to them why i'm not ulting for them they harass me even worse than if I just kept quiet. It's a lose-lose scenario.

so criticism is allowed but most of the players here are not very receptive to any sort of it even if you are constructive. the skin is thin and crusty

having said that; if you are going to say anything you have got to got to pick your words carefully, RIOT is really serious about toxicity now to the point where even if you said "Man we lost this tower cause of this play you just made, thanks for losing us the game" even though i didn't cuss or anything that could be reported and bannable because it's "toxic"

I would just say if you want to say anything you have got to get really creative or say nothing.

Skin is wicked thin though and ppl tilt insanely easy, even if you were super calm and mild and were like "Hey could we try and do this (fill in suggestion) instead of just keep going mid" you could prolly get flamed by your teammates (happens to me all the time) just for suggesting anything.

League in a nutshell has a lot of super big egos but super trash soy boy beta bitches who play it; so you roll that all up and you get a very narrow line you have to walk. Better to not say anything tbh
