Vel'Koz Feedback: A Minor Improvement

Just played my first game as Vel'Koz on 6.9, and I wanted to say that I love the direction. Pretty minor changes to his kit, but they feel good with the new items and everything. There is one thing I would change about the way the research thing works.

It is really difficult, in a teamfight, to proc research and then get a good ult off. I would propose, instead, that one of two things happen. Either:

a) Research lasts the whole game (would probably require a nerf to ult true damage)

or

b) R applies stacks of organic deconstruction.

The way it feels now, yes, there is excellent payoff for getting ult on a researched target. However, it's not as good as just using ult on as many people as possible (especially squishies who don't have much MR!). Having to worry about research AND good positioning/placement makes it REALLY REALLY hard to do both.

I like option A up there best. First of all, this fits the theme better. Vel shouldn't have to research multiple times to know the target. Secondly, it fixes the problem of getting research onto targets before ulting them, which is truly quite difficult.

These problems are accentuated by the fact that there is still no great way to get 40% CDR on Vel. Given that fact, I would propose those adjustments. I would be more fine with the way he is if there were a better way to actually get that sweet 40% CDR on mages. There isn't, to my knowledge.
