What if Baron had an Explosive AOE when destroyed?

T4R, what if when a team killed baron, there would be a small time to get out of baron pit before he explodes and does massive aoe damage that takes up all of the pit? To get a good idea of this, imagine the final "boss" from gears of war 2 (spoilers).

This could result into more risk vs reward when taking baron, along with some funny shenanigans with both Azir 's ult and Anivia 's w.

I definitely like the idea. Baron is too much of a game finisher the way it is now. If they implemented something like that, then jamming the enemy party into the pit as they finish baron would be a valid counter strategy even if you are too behind to dispute the baron buff itself.

There would be less incentive to even try Baron. I've seen plenty of Baron fails end games this suggestion will make it jump up by x2.

Good idea. As it is right now, a team that even gets the slightest lead can just baron FTW. The extreme snowballing from Baron and Dragon buffs is worse than season 3 where everything just gave gold.

Still want to see more people respond to this idea, beit positive or negative

Um....so punish the team that's either trying to finish off the game or make a comeback? What if a slightly losing team is trying to get baron, get in that last team fight, then win the game? Now they have to get baron, get OUT of the pit, THEN recall while the enemy team gets drag and pushes into their base for the win. Why punish a team for making an already risky play that could lose them the game, and make it even easier for them to lose the game just for "baroning". A HUGE strategy in this game is doing a speedy baron, then immediately recalling to defend their base, because the enemy is either pushing, OR trying to steal the baron. You may find it hilarious, but any team that get's aced/almost wiped out because Anivia walled them in, just after they got the baron that should have won them the game, will definitely not like it as much.

This could be a funny gamemode "everything fights back" or something similar, but for the real game this would ruin much of the baron gameplay and strats. If this was implemented baron would be TOO much risk for its reward.
