When to choose Cho'gath or Zac?

I usually hover between choosing one of these two champions when my team needs a tanks because I like their playstyles and characters a lot. If my team needs a tank when should I choose Zac over cho'gath or vice versa?

Cho'gath is way too outdated. You are going to have a tough time in lane and out getting either kited or just our right outmaneuvered
