What are legacy runes?

I heard people have something called legacy runes, how did they get them and how are they different from normal runes?

They were given through The Harrowing event October 18 to 31, 2010 to 2011

they arent different in stats from regular runes. they were just cheaper at the time, and had a different icon.

i think i bought 3 movement speed christmas quints back in season 1 or season 2. they just had a candy cane icon instead of the regular one and were like 1k or 2k ip cheaper.

I had a few of the legacy runes from Halloween way back when, they did nothing different just were cheap and had a pumpkin on them. The icon that people who owned these runes got is the one my profile has on now if you wanted to see it.
