Vladamir Crimson Rush

So I just played a game with the new Vlad changes and while I really liked the way the changes to his Q sounded I've actually found out that it's incredibly easy to play against it during the laning phase and difficult to stack up during skirmishes and teamfights.

During laning phase vlad's opponents immediately know when crimson rush is going to proc thanks to the color coded bar under his name, when it starts turning yellow they back off for a couple seconds and come back, at the laning phase this means they have a huge window in which they can bully and harass vlad with relative impunity.

Instead of having such a narrow timing window why not have him work like annie where after he builds up charges he can hold them until he casts next, at which point he would gain the speed boost.

It's already a really good zoning tool if you know how to use it, there's no reason it needs to become as unpleasant to lane against as Annie's passive.

On the enemies having a huge window to bully you, you're still a ranged Champion so it's not like you really have to put yourself in harms way to cs. You still have Pool to get out of very sticky situations, and if you're struggling I'd recommend starting boots and/or MS quints to really keep you out of harms way.

Or make it like Yasuo's where its there for 10 seconds? Permanent would be kinda silly because you could just sit on empowered until they try to do any damage or farm and basically auto-win a trade.

100% understand, but do not really agree, in laning phase his rush is a clear "Back the fuck up or ima whoop your ass" warning sign, making him in a form, weaker, but when you get the hextech rocket belt(cant remember the name for the life of me.) and such, it becomes remarkably easy to land it.

I recently played two games against vlad(as Jayce of course) and I completely destroyed them. In lane. even if we won both times and I was the incarnation of godhood, they were the ones who could resist me best. He still is a beast, but his laning phase is just less oppressive. I suggest people instead of chasing with the idea of only getting the empowered q to start using the not powered q to poke and trade and then the empowered on to sustain up after trades, even if its less damage, it stops people from giving up everything for that one q.
