Why Not Retire Legacy Client *AFTER* Item Sets Are Added To New Client?

League of Legends has many types of players. One type that represents a sizeable number of players (me included!) are the casual Co-op vs AI players. We do not play pvp very much - if at all. Why? Because we do not have friends that play LoL. Also, we do not want to be subjected to the verbal abuse dished out when the team loses. ALWAYS somebody has to be blamed for the loss. Bot games are more relaxing and less stressful.

So... what keeps the Co-op vs AI games fun? What is the challenge? Read this carefully, RIOT... **CREATING YOU OWN ITEM SETS FOR EACH CHAMPION THAT YOU OWN, AND EXPERIMENTING WITH DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS OF RUNES, MASTERIES, AND ITEMS, WHILE TWEAKING THE ORDER THAT YOU BUY EACH ITEM, BASED ON THE GOLD YOU ANTICIPATE FROM PREVIOUS GAME RESULTS.
** Also, spending too much time shopping after each recall is a good way to fall behind the other players... and not enjoy the full potential of the champion you are playing.

So for me, the 24th of April is retirement day from LoL. I will check back each month to see if Item Sets have been added yet. And the DOLLARS I spend on skins for the new champs I get and enjoy playing - say good-bye to that source of income.

because Dev push for progress, it looks bad as fk if you have your game running on two separate clients when one is already proved to run less efficiently, they would much rather ship and unfinished product then use an inferior system.

you can always download the 3rd party item set creator (Approved by Riot Games) http://lol.item-set.com/#!/editor

or just adjust your item sets now, you can still utilize the Item set in the new client, but the tool is gone so you cant customize said Item Sets, yet.

Generally I think you are overreacting, do the natural human thing and adapt or die. (dying in this case is ofcourse leaving league for good, unless you are in the middle of a game)

Because Riot can't complete a whole new client while sustaining the old one. They weren't going to suddenly announce "We finished rebuilding the entire client from scratch and here it is! Ta-daa!" It's inevitable that there will be missing parts at first, and Riot will keep collecting feedback.

Item sets were considered to be relatively unpopular, which is why Riot didn't include them. They made a mistake with this, so they'll return the feature in the future. It's unfortunate that we can't have it now, but we have to deal with it.

How hard is it to use the shop manually? Jeez

I should also point out that the "10 bans" feature was not implemented in the Legacy client. So Stalling the the retiring for the legacy client means stalling the 10 bans. (I think a lot of people playing ranked in particular, would not say that is worth.)

Or how bout they just don't update the damn client?

Like what the actual fuck was improved by this shit new client? It's WAY laggier, it looks worse, less accessibility, less user friendly, old client was organized much. much better/easier to use and even nicer aesthetically (and no, not just because I was used to it)... so why even freaking update it at all? Does anyone even know?

Tell me I'm not alone on this... boggles my mind.

There are websites you can use to mess with your item sets and put the changes into your client. Also the already made item sets wont vanish, there just won't yet be a part of the new client that lets you mess with them.
