I'm not talking about in LCS, obviously if you give any of those guys riven in a normal match they are going to do good. But in silver for example. She used to be a carry but now when I play her I feel like I'm just a glorified support with my knockup and stun. Sure you can get fed and carry early game but after everyone hits level 14 or so then you just turn into a supp and you have to build tank or die.
You lose a game on Riven and ask if she's not viable? In low elo??? My god...
Do understand that if you cannot carry a game as Riven in low elo, you:
A) Do not know how to play Riven B) Do not know how to effectively carry a game C) Silver player, silver mechanics, silver game knowledge D) Do not know how snowball champions and their playstyle works E) Come from a botlane player to a top one, completely changing lane and playstyle F) All of the above.
In short, yes. She is very viable. Especially in lower elos. However, she becomes less viable and a discouraging pick in higher elos when in a meta that does not suit her. (Season 5 tank meta). Then again, when played by the best players (Viper, BoxBox) in a meta that she can handle herself in (Lethality/EoN meta) she is much more desirable.

Riven is most certainly viable. That said her win rate in B-G is pretty shit. It isn't even about 'combos' as people imply. Combos aren't even that hard for any regular or hardcore gamer. It is just pushing buttons in remembered orders. What is hard is understanding how to use her tools effectively to advance the match towards victory. I would suggest watching a LOT of Exil vids and Adrian's matchup guides. Start thinking strategically about your powerspikes and how it interacts with enemy laners, and how to best utilize them for your team. There are some lanes Riven just does NOT win without her jungler camping. Like Renekton, Quinn, Fiora, Trynd, Garen and Irelia to name a couple. For these focus on TP ganks and map ganks. vs tanks you have to snowball insanely hard as they become more useful than you by merit of being tanks by 20 minutes.
I main Riven and I'm in Silver. Yes, she's viable.
She's viable, which means she needs more nerfs. Maybe start by making her Q CD not decrease until she uses her third Q.
I'd say she's fine. Just practice with her and you'll get it.
She is viable but however, they're just champs that can do better than her
Nobody in Silver knows how to pull off combos and just use abilities by themselves instead of chaining them together and using animation cancels and item actives to AA reset
