Premades should be visible to both teams.

Honestly, I don't know why this isn't already a thing (my best guess is that Riot can't find a way to show it aesthetically on the loading screen or in game without cluttering things up).

Toxicity usually only applies the opposite way (ganging up on solo/other players) -- not saying all premades are toxic, of course, but groups are much more likely to take a friend's side if flaming starts.

I'd really like knowing if i'm the odd man out. Not just for verbal exchanges, but it changes the way I play if I know my teammates are on voice chat and can coordinate plays more effectively than through pinging alone. Or if you are solo, and you're playing against a premade duo bot.

League is all about accumulating knowledge with consistent transparency -- all useful information is accessible to all players.

Being in a premade is an undeniable advantage, and it should really be visible to all players.

This used to be visible through 3rd party sources such as LoLNexus.

Riot deliberately removed access to this information from their API.

It was rather useful information to know.

If nothing else, you could check whether the jungler/mid-laner were premade with your lane opponent to help predict whether you will be camped.

I disagree for 2 reasons:

1."Toxicity usually only applies the opposite way (ganging up on solo/other players) -- not saying all premades are toxic, of course, but groups are much more likely to take a friend's side if flaming starts."

Not wrong, while I personally have had great experiences with premades, that doesnt mean I cant see toxic premades being a problem.

BUT, Premades are open to just as much toxicity as solos. The diference being when it happens its much more one-sided. Heres some examples of easy ways to flame all premades: "You guys are in Voice Chat, how can you not coordinate anything?" "You guys are not ganking/pinging for me because im solo." "Enemy Team HEEEELP, This enemy PREMADE bullied me out of my role"

Premades already have a pretty negative stigma around them. Adding this would just make it very easy to flame. People usually pick the side of the solo player 9/10 if an argument happens anyway.

2.Give up nature: "Oh they have a larger premade than us, GG guys" "Oh those people are queuing with a Plat player in silver flex, boosting assholes, guess we lose" etc...

You get the point.

TLDR: IMO adding global knowledge of premades would do more harm than good. It might just be easier to ask if your teammates are premade if the appear to be together, instead of adding this function which CAN increase toxicity.

And the point of this would be?

Just don't underestimate your opponent. I've had games where I synergized way better with a random than I did with a premade.

I ask this since a league of dynamic Q... i upvote just cause of the gameplay :

  • most of time if u are against a duo (ex : u are top against the duo top-mid/jng) : u know u'll get camped
  • if its in ur team, u know u'll be alone most of the game (ex : u are top, and the duo is jungle & adc/sup)

about 70% of people i see are in some club, just look at their tags.

I throw my friend under the bus when he is being a toxic piece of shit because it effects my experience too. People seem to think one guy in a premade being toxic is going to get back up from the others. Hell no. Ruin my game and I'll still report you. If the whole premade is toxic than they all will be reported and likely punished.

Also when you are in a premade, the other team will always have a premade or at least it is VERY likely they have one. So if for example the enemy has 3 guys in the same club, that means you will have 3 guys in a premade. This may not happen but it normally will. Also unless you are at a higher mmr or elo, premades are not that big.

You are right however, their should be more visibility on this though but sometimes you just have to kind of guess.

IMO ALL premades should only be able to play with a premade of equal size.
