How Teemo went from agravating to game ruining

A while back Rito, in their infinite naivete added a champion to the game by the name of Teemo who's sole purpose was to take a game that I would otherwise thoroughly enjoy and ruin it. He wasn't so much of a problem until the vision reworks a while back where they completely destroyed the counterplay for low level players. Previously you just bought and upgraded a sweeper and purchased green wards to keep yourself safe as a top laner dealing with Teemo. You clear his traps, build a bit of MR and you're fine. Then the vision rework changes that completely. I am now forced to choose between building a freaking sightstone, dumping tons of gold into control wards in a lane where getting farm is already miserably difficult with his range and blind, or running without warding altogether. The obvious answer is that your Jungler wards for you, but in Bronze and Silver where I spend my games NO JUNGLER HAS EVER HEARD OF WARDING FOR A TOP LANER, and forget coming back to consistently keep your river warded so you don't die to ganks. On the Howling Abyss there is a good solution in a long lasting elixer that lets you find and kill all the traps, but that option is not available on Summoner's rift, so Teemo has complete freedom to spam mushrooms all over the lane and ruin the game I am trying to enjoy. I would like to see an item, somewhere in the 1-2k cost range, building into nothing that is simply a trap detection field; similar to duskblade without being a full price offensive item. This item would simply give us counterplay against an otherwise no win situation that is ruining so many of my games. I would love to see items, almost like a second type of Doran's items that are made to counterplay specific things, but with the tradeoff of eventually having to sell them to buy full items as a gameplay concept in general, kinda like how AD champs regularly sit on a Hex Drinker for extended parts of a game. And to those of you who say to just ban Teemo, I would love to, but then I have to deal with whatever OP champ I would otherwise ban which will ruin my game just as much.

Teemo is wonderful and I wish they'd buff him enough to be a staple pick in LCS. Unironically.

Teemo mains complain as hard like you about Oracle Alteration and control wards. they don't want their champ to be reasonable to play against, they care more about cheesing the opponent rather then getting objectives. fuck those guys.

What are you playing to have such a problem with Teemo? Thx to sweeper, cheap vision wards and duskblade AND plants his shrooms and his passive are going to the trash bin in mid-game.

And with the current and always reacurring tank meta, he his lane dominanz should be non-existence, once you backed to get a little mr. His best scaling is on his blind with 80% and this ability not only costs a good amount of mana (his shrooms cost almost 1/4 btw) but also has a 8sec cd. which opens a 6.5 time window to use nasus q hit, use maokais passive and so on. Also, Dorans Shield is like the Teemo anti-dote, because his over-time poisen and refreshing that 20 health healing with every tick, but only deals like 4 or 5 every secound (6 with 1 point in it + 10% scaling [with around 20 ap] - magic resitence).

And with his mobility being a 20ms buff in laning phase, ganking him is running over a mouse that is flued to the rode with a steamroller. If your jungler does not gank to get this free gold and xp that is Teemo's laning phase, then this player might as well run it down mid and give that easy gold to the enemy midlaner.
