Its a sign of the times. The current generation of players are generally people that have never been told "no" in their life or brought up properly and as an extension of this, Riot has changed their game so that every champion can have everything.
Q. Do you want every mechanic in the game? Shield, Heal, Dashing etc?
A. Play 
Q. Do you want 40% Cooldown Reduction in 2 Items...
A. Got you covered, most AD and AP core builds include this.
Q. Do you want insane damage?
A. Most items have this and certain ruins like Conquerer give you infinite reward with NO cost
Q. Do you want to "appear" skilful and "edgy" because you love anime but you don't have the skills to land skillshots?
A. No problem... take , a champion that can miss everything and STILL R + 
for a quick kill
Q. Do you want to play like a moron, with no safety in mind and STILL win the game with NO drawback?

People wonder why this game has fallen as far as it has into an continuous, never changing damage meta? Well the problem is both Riot and the players. The players that don't want to have to pay anything for their power and want instant gratification. Its the same reason that most game developers make puzzles in their game so insultingly easy...

League used to be strategic, now its got more in common with Street Fighter then its original inspiration which was "Warcraft III".
I cannot justify playing this anymore. This is game is basically as numbed down and stupid as Fornite now. Both games are repetitive and offer little variety outside of constant meme's and other "new age" things. Old school gamers despair at how the Gaming Industry has become like the Movie and Music Industries...
Lacking a soul or any real passion anymore...
