Muramana awe passive and Shock mana cost.

So I was recently thinking about a Corki build that was viable without crit chance and decided muramana was a decent option due to the additional damage from the shock passive on top of Corki's high mana costs and heavy spell usage. Does anybody know if the Awe mana refund passive applies to Shock's mana consumption? I wasn't able to find a definitive answer and the description would seem to imply it does.

For anyone curious the build I have outlined for Corki so far is Muramana, Triforce and Blade of the ruined king. The recent removal of triforce crit chance got me thinking about efficient builds that don't have crit as a core of the build.
