Playing Kai'Sa on the PBE First Wave of Thoughts
She's a bonafied badass, her special interactions are interesting but not near as long as most of the other recent champions and i wish she had more with her father Kassadin. Her animations are very clean, especially her AA animation, probably one of the best in the game. And the particle effects are Beautiful on all of her abilities.
Speaking of her Abilities and how she fights.
Her AA Range is only 500, putting her behind most ADC's in Bot-Lane, which could help place her outside of the ADC role later on. She has the same AA Range as Sivir and Lucian, but she has less in terms of mobility like Vayne and Lucian do to help them get that range to work which makes me think that Vayne and Lucian will counter her in lane, even though Kai'Sa is probably WAY stronger early on than both of them.
Speaking of her Early Game, she is a gigantic bully, not so much in lane unless she's against an ADC with the same range as her, since things like Varus, Kog'Maw and Tristana could simply poke her from outside her own effective Range.
Passive: Broken, it stacks with Runaan's on all enemies with runaans including minions and it does 15% missing health damage(scaling up with AP), pretty effect way to pick up kills on people that don't realize they have 4 stacks on them(It's a 5 hit passive). Also, you can apply this right after Procing it.
Q: Strong, at first it only fires 6 missiles and these missiles will target enemies evenly around you, this means if you have 3 enemies around you 2 go to each enemy. It's great for Wave Clear but in terms of fighting in lane it kind of lacks unless you position properly outside of a minion wave. Evolved it get's 12 which makes good in lane and outside of it. It takes 100 bonus AD to evolve it and just like with all her abilities, if you drop bellow 100 permanent bonus AD, it reverts.
W: Busted, this ability has more range than Jhin W, it's a Magic Damage nuke that scales off of bot AD and AP just like all of her other abilities(except E) and it grants vision while traveling, while also applying 2 stacks of her passive. At rank 1 level 2 it deals 150 damage, and most people don't even max it, though that will probably change. Evolving it makes it refund 50% Cooldown on hit, while applying 3 stacks of her passive AND it deals even more damage.
E: Even though all of her abilities are great, i think this one might take the cake when she's in the ADC role, you get a crap ton of Movement Speed and Attack Speed(At level 1 i believe the attack speed is 40%?) and that's it but the thing is once it's evolved you get even more of both of those and you can also turn invisible while your charging it. The only downside is the more attack speed you build, the shorter your time of Invisibility.
R: I love this ability, it's incredibly fun to use but as an ADC it's honestly Lack Luster, diving head first into someone from far away is cool for an Assassin(Which she can infact build to be a very good one) but if your playing her Bot it's best to use this to finish someone off rather than to solo someone, even though it gives a fat ass sheild, it's probably not enough against things that out duel you or things that are fed. In the assassin role, which i think will be if you play her Jungle or Mid(Not sure if she's good mid yet.) this is an incredible ability in every single way, you jump on them, one shot them, run away.
Builds
Standard ADC(Pretty good, but i think it's because she's overtuned, not because she's an good ADC.) AD Assassin(Not very Effective.) AP Hybrid Assassin(Very effective, probably the best build for her in the jungle and it works pretty damned well): Warrior Enchant, Gunblade, Guinsoo's(if you can afford it.) then you just build Crit+Attack Speed with Phantom Dancer and such. This and the On-Hit build are the only builds that give you all of your Evolved Abilities. On-Hit ADC(Pretty Effective, i'd suggest a build like Varus or Kog'maw on her over Standard ADC.): Same as Varus or Kog'Maw, her passive makes Guinsoo's work brilliantly.
Conclusion, first 2 days.
She seems pretty overtuned right now, i expect nerfs to her before her release to put her in a better spot for release so we don't see another Camille or Ekko. If there were things that i think would get nerfed, it's probably gonna be the scaling's on her W and possibly her Q, the flat shield on her R and her Passive interaction with Runaans, you can apply it right after procing it and i think that's what really makes it OP, it's also really good for jungle clearing cause it does 400 damage and let's you actually survive the early jungle clear, this is why i think she'll be good in both Jungle and Bot.
Hybrid champions have a tendency to be really hard to balance so all of us on the PBE expected her to be pretty broken, she's definitely strong but not to far out of line, she might just need some Fine Tuning in her Scaling's to make her perfect for release.
