Champion Mastery Removal

Is it possible to remove or reset Champion Mastery Points from a champion? I was thinking that I am horrible with and I was thinking that I could refund him. But then I remembered a thing: If I refund my champion, its "levels" will be gone. So the question is: Will my levels be gone if i refund kassadin? I don'tlike to have him, because he is harder than or . I was thinking that I don't want to people see that I suck very badly with a popular champion and when I go play Summoner's Rift, players will know that I am bad with it... Is this possible ?
