Rek, Vi, or Noc.

Thinking of my next jungler right now. One of those three. Played Vi mostly, she is OP, but not really my type of jungler. I main Wukong jungle and Nocturne seems pretty close to Wu's style imo for me, played him also. Rek sai has lots of short CDS, and dosen't rely on his ulti as much as Vi and Noc to have an complete gank. Advice and which you would choose would be helpful. Thanks

Vi isn't even close to OP at this point in tank meta world. Farmers like Nocturne are pretty bad right now as well. Rek'Sai is still the strongest jungler in the game according to most players, challenged only by Sejuani. I think you know who I recommend.

I'd honestly rule out Nocturne if you want to win more, Rek'Sai is pretty good, Vi is good too. I also main Jungle Vi or Rek'Sai.

Played Vi mostly, she is OP,

She... was. Her winrate dropped significantly :/

She's still hella fun as long as you know what you're doing.

Noc and Vi are both centered around single-target lockdown. Vi and Noc can both chase/dive a single target, Noc can follow up with his fear. Noc seems to have suffered for a while; I'm not familiar enough with him to say why exactly. Vi recently got some nerfs but is still capable in the right hands.

Rek, on the other hand, is focused more on team-wide disruption mostly through her knockup and deals decent AoE damage with her Q, and her E can be built up to grant True Damage. She is also very mobile thanks to her tunnels.

I prefer Rek myself.

Don't choose Nocturne. There is just no reason to choose him over another jungler.

He is an assassin that is supposed to delete people, but he never works as you want him to.

First, his spellshield. There is a delay from when you press to when its active. If you press when you see their casting, unless they are far away, it will not block it. It is a source of major frustration and it also means you must predict when a spell will be cast.

Second, you cannot stick to a target, this is mostly a E problem. Your fear takes 2 seconds to set in. 2 flipping seconds. I have jumped on Graves solo (a jungle assassin with equal gold as to the ADC should love to find ADC solo and ult him). He was able to kill me without ult because he auto'd me before my CC was able to even set in. It takes a long time.

The other problem is that stupid tether. It is such a low range. Flash means you lost the kill and better back the freak off. But any dash does, honestly. They dash or sometimes move quickly out of the way and you have no chance. You'd think your Q would help, but it never really does. Sticking to a target is a hard and frustrating thing. I even picked up a freaking Frozen Mallet in a frustrating game and still had no luck.

Third, your damage is just not sufficient. With that poor CC you just can't delete people in the speed you would need to to be useful.

Fourth, the reason you need such speed is because you have no disengage. No jump that resets, Heck, no jump, period. With all abilities you have no way to back off or run away. Another extension of the sticking to a target problem.

Honestly, I can't find a single good reason to choose him over a myriad of other champs. Just choose Yi instead if you want Noc. In his state there is no good reason to play him.

I've always been a huge nocturne fan. Aesthetically I find him so cool.

Sadly as others have stated he's not the greatest jungler out there, but far from useless. Now that he gains movement speed while his E is active, plus his Q, it makes it easier to stick to targets without breaking the tether.

I'm hoping his ult CD reduction makes him more of a threat. At rank 3, it feels like a global and your overall map pressure is tremendous.

At rank 1... not so much. The range is laughably short, all things considered, and, before the CD reduction, a lot of people found themselves not even using it until level 11.

Anyway, my vote has to go with Noc, just because I love the concept of him, and hearing him yell out when he uses that paranoia is so fun. But the other posters here aren't necessarily wrong for advising you against him xD

I faced this choice recently and picked Vi (League of Tanks? What about %health damage AND armorshred in ONE ABILITY?). She's really, really strong. RekSai is also strong, but is a more complex champion due to the burrow mechanic. Nocturne is not worth the time. He is nowhere near the power level of the first two champs. If you want another option, have you considered Pantheon? I know he can no longer lv2 solodragon, but I think he's still pretty good.
