Here's the thing about balance, especially large scale.

I've made a similar thread before. Here's the thing about balancing a game:

It takes data.

How do we get said data?

Playing games.

And I don't mean the few hundred-few thousand on the PBE. I mean millions and millions of games.

This provides statistical information on what to change, and in what way to make the changes so they are most fair.

Gathering the data on millions of games doesn't happen overnight.

Making changes and then observing the effects of those changes doesn't happen overnight.

Then, to make it even more hectic, add in preseason. Of course there will be unbalance. Heck, stupidly broken elements, no less (Tryndamere, Brand, Graves).

That does not mean that "League is a wreck" and that you should quit. It doesn't mean that "This is the worst state the game has ever been in," because this is the first of several patches that will go into making a balanced real season in January.

Have some patience, guys. I know you guys love this game, and that's why you are so passionate about having it in tip-top shape and perfectly aligned all the time. I do too. But part of making progress means making changes, and introducing changes, especially massive ones, take time because introducing change, by definition, disrupts current stability.

We're going to have an awesome Season 6, and it'll just take a couple weeks to work out all the kinks in the preseason changes. Don't expect 5.23 to be perfect either. Just get ready for an awesome 6.1.

Be patient, and have fun. Preseason games are supposed to be radically different and intended to be a helluva good time. But, having said that, they'll only be fun if you experiment and let them be fun. They'll be absolutely miserable if you try playing the game incredibly seriously during this time, because you're right, balance is off right now. It'll get better. Don't worry. Go play some or some and have some fun!
