Some Yorick questions.

Hey I just played Yorick in poroking. I liked him but i have a couple of questions before i play him on summoners rift. His w feels strange and I end up canceling it by accident more times then i actually cast it . Is this something you just have to get used to or do other people feel it and is it going to be changed a bit? Also what runes are good on him? I chose to run AD/armor/mr and cdr quints.
