Evolution of Jungling

So I've been a jungle main since season 3, and the last few days I've been trying to get a feel for the new jungle.

There are a lot of things that I like that have been done. The Strategic Diversity through the new items and the scuttle crab are great. But I am also confused by a few of the changes. To me it feels like the jungle was remade from scratch and it achieves it's new goal, but no one considered past problems that have come up.

When season 4 started, I was extremely pleased by the jungle changes. They opened up a way for more champions to be able to jungle through the sustain of the spirit items. The jungle items also gave junglers a chance to earn some more gold by doing their job successfully so that they wouldn't have to choose between taking kills or farming all day. With the season 5 changes, neither of these things that had been a high priority last season were retained. The jungle creeps give a little bit more gold, but their spawn times are so much longer that it is an overall loss. Also, with the higher damage and beefiness of the creeps, the lack of sustain that many junglers face is even more impactful. The only form of sustain is the red buff, which is not it's primary purpose anyway.

Overall what I'm getting at is that I think the new jungle changes were a step back in the long run. They do what they were meant to do, and do it well; but they don't allow for anything else that is essential to a healthy jungle. They minimize the impact that a jungler can have early into the game because the jungler is either faced with being too low to gank or keep jungling safely or they fall significantly far behind in gold and experience due to the lack of gold income on their items and the spawn times of the creeps.

As I said, I like the new diversity. That in itself is worthy of note, but I don't see why it has to be a trade off. I think that combining the new line of jungle items with the things that have been important in past seasons will put us back in line where we should be. In my opinion, taking just the current (or now past, with the end of season 4) faults and fixing them without regard for the new issues that could be created is not the best way to go about making something better.

Anyways... Thoughts?

Strategic diversity? You mean secure dragon and win the game?

Also, any other thoughts on what might be a good fix are most welcome.

No... I mean being able to choose how to build your jungler in different ways..

I think that they should allow junglers to start with an extra potion, and cut back monster damage by 3-4 damage per hit, at least leaving junglers with the option to gank at level 3 with at least 300-400 health.
