Caitlyn's Hotfix Buff Being rendered useless after PBE Changes

We all know the change that happened to our girl Caitlyn as a sweet compensation from Riot. Upon getting 120% crit chance, her Passive was doing 225% dmg on top of the scaling%.

The way we achieved this was by building IEitem 3031 (3600g)+2 zeal Itemsitem 3094 item 3087 (2900gx2). Giving us 80 AD, 120% Crit Chance, for 9400 Gold.

Now for the same stats we need IEitem 3031 (3200g)+2 zeal Itemsitem 3087 item 3094 (2700gx2) and a brawlers gloveitem 1051 (400). Which comes out to be 400 gold cheaper after item reductions, but we have to sit on a component, build triple zeal items, or dont even reach the 120%.

TL;DR Gold inefficient to reach the late game 120% headshot damage, but caitlyn's midgame still gets online 800g Cheaper. Still renders her new hotfix buff useless though cause it feels bad to build.

I don't think this is how excess crit interacts with headshot. Critical strike chance is capped at 100% similar to how CDR (outside of runes) is capped at 40%.

Regardless of whether this is how the math crunches out or not, the buffs aren't rendered useless. I don't know why you feel that way. She still is getting more damage out of her critical strike chance after the buff; reverting the buff would make her weaker. You seem to imply that reverting the buff will have no effect, which is an untrue assertion.

In other words, they changed it so that the bonus damage (with regards only to the portion that scales with crit%) is not equal to total AD x 100% of her crit chance, but total AD x 125% of her crit chance. If they were to revert the buff, she would be weaker without exception.
