Has League's Community Dropped/What is Riot's answer to the declining league community?

Many people are leaving league, especially us old league players. I started playing in Season 3 and I continued to play league for fun late into Season 5(I still play league it's just not fun anymore). For the passed couple week's No one has been really talking about league anymore (Besides Lcs Players) But if im correct didn't they sell like the whole game to Korea? By season 5-7 The community has been slowly dying. Riot decided to change that, they decided that Macro(Game Sense) > Micro(Mechanics). This seems amazing for the eSport scene where teams need to show they are more coordinated as a team rather than show the mechanics of each player. However it is not all that good in Solo Queue, where people play the game to have some flashy plays here and there. It's not all about get your first 2 items and group mid, that just shows your strong as a team. For this you need to have trust in your Solo Queue team, something I will never have.

It's more on the same decline WoW is. Great game until Wrath of the Lich King, then dropped to the life line. Now League may not be on the life line yet, but it's heading there.

For me a lot of the decline in interest is almost 100% due to old champion kits/items/etc being removed or changed so drastically that they don't resemble their previous incarnation. Having something you enjoy or love about the game just be straight up removed for the sake of "keeping it fresh" is just.... bad. You get scorned for buying a skin for your main when suddenly your main is a new champion with a completely different role and kit, and you wasted all those gameplay hours and money on something you can never get back.

It has declined but it's still extremely popular. Many of my friends are turned off by the overly sensitive censorship promoting community. It's gotten so bad that even giving valid gameplay tips on builds or strategies risks reports with some cry bullies.

every single one of my friends has quit because this game has gotten so stale and repetitive.

if u arent playing the meta u will get dicked on and lose the game by 10 minutes.

I’d like to see stats please. You can’t use personal anecdotes as a base for this kind of a post.

And yes, Tencent has a majority share of Riot, but that has been for several years, and they have next to no say on game balance and the like (also, it’s Chinese)

The reason a lot of people are talking about eSports right now is because it’s Worlds season.
