@Reav3 and the rest of the champion design team, you made me come back to League of Legends
I've been playing League for a pretty long time, since about the beginning of season 3 and I fell in love with the game in the characters almost instantly I played for hours on end every day. It seemed like every single season something or multiple games that I loved about the game would get removed or redesigned in a way that I never really seemed to like, and it really started slowly ruining the game for me. I know others shared my pain as I constantly would see posts about people not liking the direction the game was being taken, enjoying the old days etc.
Seasons 5 and 6 were the most unbearable seasons of League I've ever sat through and sadly I think most people can attest to that themselves, they was honestly a tad bit of a trainwreck at some points and it all started in pre-season 5 when that ADC update came out. Two champions that I adored, Graves and Kog'Maw, were basically destroyed by this class update and it made me honestly really upset. I went from playing a lot to not even touching them. Later, the assassin update came out and destroyed yet another champion me and so many other enjoyed playing, Rengar. (I don't think this needs any additional words.) And finally, the tank update launched which ruined all three of the tanks I really enjoyed: Sejuani, Maokai, and Zac ALL lost their playstyles that made me love them so much. I think the nail in the coffin was when I saw Maokai being played as an AP support, but meh.
At that point I had pretty much had it, I gave season 7 a chance but the moment I saw that Galio was going to be delegated into playing as a full tank I uninstalled the game and played other games like HotS, CS:GO, Overwatch, etc. for quite a while. It wasn't until later I saw the Urgot rework pop up on social media. And now, Urgot was a champion I historically have always really liked to play despite how unpopular he'd always been and I found him extremely underrated. When I saw that they were relaunching him my first thought was pretty much just "Oh look, Riots going to destroy another champion and throw his playerbase (though small) in the dust like they always do." and after watching his champ spotlight I was like "Okay that looks pretty sick."
Re-installed the game and tried out Urgot, pretty much felt the same exact satisfaction as the first time I ever played League of Legends back in 2013. I don't know who specifically worked on this rework but my god you completely restored my hope for making this game a fun and fresh experience for me again and have gained my full trust back in your ability to do these individual champion reworks rather than the failed update.
THANK YOU.
