Changes for the sake of changes?

So.... checked in for the first time in a while. What happened to League? It's not like I didn't play last season! There are so many changes that it's not even the same game that I loved before! (EVERYTHING in the jungle is an objective, you can smite opponents, 5 million jungle items and other items are missing.) I had watched the patch changes on Youtube, but hearing about the changes didn't really prepare me... I spent a LOT of time learning the game before and keeping up with it, but I feel no desire to learn a whole new game that claims to be League.
