How do you fight "better"

I have been playing ADC recently, and I have been improving. But I think if I learn how to do one more thing, I could climb alot better. How can I fight better? If a question like that isn't really answwrable, what do high elo (diamonds, masters, etc.) Do in fights that low elos dont. Is there anything I can take from high elo players that I could use to win more fights?

It really depends on what you already know. I am not playing adc at all and being only Silver can still give you some tips, but I can't know if you know this or not.

Watch map even during teamfight, so you can notice incoming threats

Playing adc is a lot about how well you "press buttons", so watch replays and see if you could move somewhere better (e.g dodge skillshot, press flash earlier, move back to avoid threat coming at you, use heal to save ally and benefit from it, proc rune on time) Make sure you keep balance between securiy and fight participation, in the end of the day you are the main damage dealer

Laning phase: check how secure you are, how open to trades, make sure you AA relic support coming at your range, make sure you follow up in trades.

I'm no pro but I do pretty well in fights and outplaying my opponent I can just throw a couple things you could make sure are up to par with you as an adc(really this doesn't just apply to adcs though).

-Kiting(able to basic attack and keep moving at the same time swiftly, already dodging abilities that you expect to come your way and keeping distance between the 2 of you if needed, do not ever stand still and don't use the same patterns, they will notice them like i do :P)

-Focus less on your creep wave and more on your opponents movement/body language, pay more attention to whether they're about to poke/make a move and just keep a small eye on your creep wave because most of the time, the creeps get taken out one at a time by your creeps so it's not really needed to focus too hard on the wave. Also something I still do is unnecessarily check my health/mana/cs a lot and it's very possible to get poked in the 1 second you distract yourself

-Bait their abilities before engaging, in other words also meaning get better with sidestepping/predicting abilities.
